All Aboard Café was founded by Rod Hee, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This food truck first opened in Bryn Athyn, PA on July 18th, 2015 bringing a Brazilian & Italian inspired cuisine to the area. With a family history in the hospitality and restaurant business in Brazil, Rod grew up learning the pleasure of cooking and serving others.
The idea of starting a food truck began when he moved to Bryn Athyn, PA with his fiancé in order to be closer to her family. In the first several months of moving to the town he heard many people reminiscing of a favorite local attraction, “Snacks by the Tracks”, a Church fundraiser serving sausage sandwiches and sticky buns on Saturdays at the Bryn Athyn Post Office. Rod was then inspired to create a way to bring the community back together with food that reminded him of his home town in Brazil.
Since the train tracks are no longer there due to the beautiful Rails to Trails project, what better way to remember the railroad with a food truck that looks like a train engine? After a long process of town meetings, designing the trailer’s custom kitchen, and creating a mouthwatering menu, All Aboard Café was born. Selling out of food on opening day made Rod realize this was going to be a full time job!
Rod is happy to say that the cafe is now open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and plans to stay open through the winter months if the weather permits. Currently the best seller on the menu is the Brazilian Steak Sandwich and the beer marinated Brazilian Chicken Sandwich. The menu will vary slightly based on season.
