The 1815 Moses Lukens House is a fine example of a Pennsylvania Federal Farmhouse. The house was constructed in 1815, but the property itself can be traced all the way back to the original Patent from John Penn in the early 18th century. Originally situated on 183 acres in what is now known as Maple Glen, the Moses Lukens farmhouse, bank barn and carriage house are now located on 2.3 acres set back from Welsh Road. The front and matching rear doors are original, including the locks and brass knobs. The staircase, chair rails and window moldings are also original.
