EveryHome agent Kristen Burger loves her hometown in Upper Bucks County! She shared a few of her favorite local eateries, parks, and things to do in Perkasie and Sellersville:

Perkasie is a quaint walkable town. The Perk is one of the local favorite restaurants. In the 1850’s, the Perk was a hotel and popular stop for farmers and merchants traveling to Philadelphia from the Lehigh Valley. Today it’s the town’s most popular local eatery. Maize is an upscale farm-to-table BYOB. All their ingredients come from local farms in the area and all dishes are made to order, from scratch. Free Will is another great spot to gather with family and friends. They have a variety of food truck options Thursday- Sunday. The offer free brewery tours on Saturdays and have various other events throughout the year.  Bishop Estate Winery is a local family owned farm dating back to the 1800s. they have opened their farm to the community providing a fun place to relax with a glass (or bottle) of wine.  Many people also enjoy visiting the Sellersville Theater, which is an intimate music and comedy venue featuring national and international performers.  Enjoy a meal or grab some drinks next door at the Washington House Hotel, Restaurant and Antique Bar!

There’s no shortage of fun things to do outside in Perkasie, too.  Lenape Park offers walking trails, playgrounds, a skate park, picnicking areas, a war memorial, sports fields, twin bridges and a historic covered bridge.  Lenape also has a dog park and neighbors Menlo park, home to the community pool and historic Perkasie Carousel (that still runs twice per year)!  Nockamixon State Park is also nearby, providing various outdoor activities such as boating, fishing and hiking, to name a few.  Perkasie Borough hosts a farmer’s markets downtown every Saturday from Spring- Fall. The borough is also home to the nation’s oldest tree lighting ceremony!

Perkasie and Sellersville serve the Pennridge School District and offer a variety of home styles and prices for sale. The majority of single family homes for sale are in the $250,000-$450,000 price range. There are also many newer twin and townhome communities priced from $200,000-$350,000. More affordable homes under $200,000 are also available, as well as luxury homes and farmhouses with acreage.
