One of Philadelphia’s most sought-after neighborhoods, Pennsport is a thriving community on the Delaware River in South Philly. The area is known for it’s many bars and restaurants, and it’s also home of the Mummers! A few of our local favorites include Federal Donuts, Moonshine Philly, 2nd Street Brewhouse, and Grindcore House (the best – and only – metal music-themed vegan cafe we’ve ever seen!)
Another benefit is the relative ease of driving and parking. Unlike much of the rest of Philadelphia, Pennsport residents enjoy plenty of parking options, and easy access to 95 and many local large stores (including Target and Home Depot). Notably, however, there are fewer public transportation options. The area is served by the Philadelphia School District, and high school students attend Furness High School.
