‘Tis the season! In an early holiday gift to homebuyers, benchmark mortgage rates fell to some of their lowest levels of the year.  The average 30-year fixed rate loan fell 6 basis points this past week, and currently stand at just 3.78% according to Bankrate.com.  The average 15-year fixed rate loan, a popular choice for refinancing, dropped to 3.13%.

Each week, Bankrate surveys a team of seasoned mortgage lenders and experts for their predictions on where rates are headed.  The vast majority expect that rates will remain unchanged or increase next week.  If you’re interested in learning more qualifying for a home loan, or would like to speak to a local lender, be sure to give us a call at (215) 699-5555!
