Realtor.com recently released a report evaluating the top cities where it makes the most sense to trade up your rental for a home of your very own. Philadelphia third on this list (after Atlanta and Chicago, respectively). Data scientists a wide variety of factors, including median income, home values, fair market rental data.
The City of Brotherly Love was notable for an abundance of affordable “fixer-upper” homes and a strong housing market. Plus, Philadelphia enjoys a relatively low unemployment rate! And unfortunately, a major consideration was that rental prices have skyrocketed in Philadelphia in recent years.
