Southeast Delco School District

Serving the boroughs of Sharon Hill, Folcroft, Collingdale, and Darby Township, Southeast Delco School District offers affordability, proximity to Philadelphia, and a number of programs, activities and sports for its students! The district serves over 4000 students in an area of approximately four square miles.

Southeast Delco is notable for offering a comprehensive Cyber School Program that affords students flexibility and an alternative to traditional school. Additionally, students have the option to enroll in classes exclusively online, or partake in a blended learning environment with some classes online, and some classes on campus.

The district’s high school, Academy Park High School, offers a number of popular clubs and activities for students. This includes the Rising Scholars Club, which seeks to assist students with the transition from high school to college. Additionally, this club assists with shaping the school culture to appropriately motivate students to seek secondary education.

Southeast Delco School District operates six schools and arranges students a bit differently than other local districts. All kindergarten students attend the district’s Kindergarten Center, located in Glenolden. First through eighth grade students then attend one of four primary schools, based on their geographic location: Sharon Hill School, Harris School, Delcroft School, Darby Township School, and Academy Park High School.

The district encompasses all or parts of the towns of Sharon Hill, Folcroft, Collingdale, Glenolden, and Darby.

Additionally, there are a number of nearby private schools and charter schools, including Our Lady of Fatima School, Holy Spirit School, and Christ Academy.

Homes for sale in Southeast Delco School District tend to be priced significantly below the Delaware County average. The majority of homes for sale are townhomes between $75,000 and $100,000. Additionally, single-family homes are readily available throughout the district. Most of these homes are priced between $100,000 and $200,000. While a few higher-priced single-family homes may be available, the district tends to be consistently affordable. Nearly every home in the district is located on less than a quarter of an acre.
