Ridley School District

Situated in southeastern Delaware County, Ridley School District serves approximately 6,000 students across nine schools. The district offers convenience to the city of Philadelphia, a friendly suburban feel, and a close relationship with community members.

Ridley High School is notable for its progressive “Citizenship Grade” included in each class. Students are assessed on their ability to be responsible citizens, self-directed learners, collaborate with peers, communicate effectively, and problem solve. Ridley High School also enforces a school uniform dress code.

There is no shortage of things to do within the school district! Students may participate in a wide variety of sports and clubs, including the student-run WRSD radio station, Dance Team, Science Olympiads, World Culture Club, and WWII Club.

The district enjoys a close relationship with community members. A great number of parents and local citizens enjoy volunteering within the district each year, and the school district believes that input from community members is important; in fact, the district website has a popular comment section for questions and concerns from citizens.

Ridley School District operates nine schools, including Amosland Elementary School, Eddystone Elementary School, Edgewood Elementary School, Grace Park Elementary School, Lakeview Elementary School, Leedom Elementary School, Woodlyn Elementary School, Ridley Middle School, and Ridley High School.

The district encompasses all or parts of the towns of Ridley Park, Woodlyn, Secane, Holmes, Morton, Folsom, Swarthmore, Eddystone, and Crum-Lynne.

Additionally, there are a number of nearby private schools and charter schools, including Woodlyn Christian School, and St. James Regional Catholic School.

Homes for sale in Ridley School District tend to be priced a bit below the Delaware County average. The majority of homes for sale are single-family homes between $150,000 and $275,000. While a few higher-priced single-family homes may be available, the district tends to be consistently affordable.

Cape Cods, ranches, and modestly sized Colonial homes are the most popular styles within the district. The majority are located on less than a quarter of an acre. Most homes within the district are located on quiet, well-established streets, although a handful of new construction opportunities may also be available.

Townhomes are another popular style of home within the district. Primarily located in one of the Boroughs, these townhomes are typically priced between $100,000 and $200,000. A handful of more affordable homes are also available.
