Kennett Consolidated School District

Nestled in southeastern Chester County, Kennett Consolidated School District serves approximately 4100 students over 33 square miles. The district serves the suburb of Kennett Square and surrounding townships and is conveniently located near Philadelphia, Wilmington, and Chester.

The district was named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best High Schools in 2010, 2013, and 2014!
Kennett Consolidated School District offers state-of-the-art facilities for its students and community members. The middle school opened its doors in 2002, and the high school recently completed extensive renovations that include a turf stadium for athletic events.

Middle school and high school students have the opportunity to study additional STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses through the district’s Project Lead the Way. This initiative is designed to offer hands-on, engaging coursework to students interested in STEM.

Ambitious high school students may take advantage of the dual enrollment program offered through the school district. In collaboration with a number of local colleges and universities, students are offered the opportunity to take classes that count towards both their high school graduation requirements and provide college credit.

Kennett Consolidated School District operates six schools, including the Mary D. Lang Kindergarten Center, Greenwood Elementary School, Newgarden Elementary School, Bancroft Elementary School, Kennett Middle School and Kennett High School.
