Haverford offers a comprehensive athletic program, and has one of the longest-standing football rivalries in the area! The Haverford Fords compete with Upper Darby on Thanksgiving Day every year. Haverford has won in most recent years.
The district operates seven schools. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade attend one of five elementary schools: Chatham Park Elementary School, Chestnutwold Elementary School, Coopertown Elementary School, Lynnewood Elementary School, or Manoa Elementary School. Sixth through eighth grade students attend Haverford Middle School, and ninth through twelfth grade students attend Haverford High School.
Additionally, there are a number of nearby private schools and charter schools, including The Haverford School and the Shipley School. Delaware County offers over 100 private and charter school alternatives.
