Spanning portions of northern Montgomery and southern Berks counties, Boyertown School district is a large, rural high school serving 100 square miles and nearly 7000 students.
Boyertown School District Highlights
Boyertown is notable for recently introducing its own Cyber Program! As an alternative to Boyertown’s traditional brick and mortar schools, the Boyertown Area School District Cyber Program is designed to provide an option for students to experience the same curriculum online.
The district recently instituted a “BYOT” (Bring Your Own Technology) program, which enables students to bring their own personal devices, including laptops and tablets, into the classroom to be used for academic purposes.
Boyertown won an award in 2010 through the National Association of Music Merchants as being one of the 100 Best Communities for Music Education in America! The band and orchestra are popular extracurriculars within the school district.
The school district operates seven elementary schools: Boyertown, Colebrookdale, Earl, Gilbertsville, New Hanover-Upper Frederick, Pine Forge and Washington. Junior high school students attend either Boyertown Area Junior High School-East Center or Boyertown Area Junior High School-West Center. All students in the district attend Boyertown Area High School.
