Situated in the southern portion of Montgomery County, Whitemarsh Township is home to approximately 17,000 people across nearly 15 square miles. Whitemarsh is served by the award-winning Colonial School District, and offers convenience to the city and nearby suburbs including King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, and Conshohocken.

The township enjoys its reputation for a rich history! Whitemarsh is home to over ten sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including Farmar Mill, and Miller’s House at Spring Mill. Additionally, the Battle of White Marsh and the Battle of Barren Hill took place in the township during the Revolutionary War!

Whitemarsh Township includes all or parts of the mailing addresses of Fort Washington, Lafayette Hill, Conshohocken, Flourtown, and Plymouth Meeting.

The township is served by Colonial School District, which has received numerous awards for its academics and athletics. Germantown Academy is also located within Whitemarsh (Fort Washington) and is a well-known private preparatory school.
What To Do In Whitemarsh Township
Whitemarsh is a haven for outdoor and nature lovers! The 483-acre Fort Washington State Park is located within the township, and the Wissahickon Creek flows through the township with its namesake trail for runners, walkers, and bikers.
