In regards to government, the township is located within the seventh congressional district and the thirteenth congressional district. Plymouth is governed by a five-member Council.

Along with Whitemarsh Township and Conshohocken Borough, Plymouth Township is served by Colonial School District. Plymouth Township tends to be a more affordable place to live within the school district.

The township uses the mailing address of Plymouth Meeting, and is conveniently located near Blue Bell, Conshohocken, Norristown and King of Prussia.
What To Do In Plymouth Township
The popular town of Plymouth Meeting straddles Plymouth and Whitemarsh Townships. Plymouth Township is home to the recently renovated Plymouth Meeting Mall, which features a number of high-end shops, as well as award-winning restaurants and a Whole Foods.

Plymouth Township is also home to Plymouth Country Club, as well as Tee’s Golf Course. A number of parks and recreational opportunities are located within Plymouth Township, as well as surrounding municipalities. The township operates 11 parks comprising nearly 150 acres, as well as the Greater Plymouth Community Center.
