Steeped in history, Norristown traces its roots to 1704 when the family of Isaac Norris purchased the land from William Penn. The borough enjoyed many prosperous years in the eighteenth and nineteenth century, as it served as an industrial, retail and banking hub for the region.

No car? No problem! Norristown is an excellent spot for commuters, as it serves as the largest public transportation hub in Montgomery County. With frequent bus service and multiple train stations including a high-speed line, nearly every home in Norristown is walkable to a SEPTA station!
