Media Borough
Friendly, trendy, and socially conscious! Did you know Media was named America’s first Fair Trade Town? Media’s citizens are highly supportive of the Fair Trade Movement, and the borough was also recently named one of the Best Places to Raise a Family by Philadelphia Magazine. It’s no surprise that approximately 6,000 people over 0.8 square miles call Media home!
Media Borough Quick Facts
Not only is Media the county seat for Delaware County, but it’s also a regional hub for all things cultural! The tiny borough is home to an abundance of restaurants, shops, theaters, galleries, fitness studios, places of worship, and a library.

Media refers to itself as “Everybody’s Hometown” and residents are notable for saying “hello” and warmly welcoming new residents. Rich in diversity and history, Media is a walkable town with something for everyone.

No car? No problem! Not only is Media walkable, but it is also easily navigable through public transportation. SEPTA easily connects commuters from Media to Center City, and the borough is also known as the last suburban town in America with a trolley running down the main street.

The borough is served by the Rose Tree-Media School District. There is also an abundance of nearby private school options.
What To Do In Media Borough
There is certainly no shortage of things to do in this town! Whether you’d like a “girls day out” of shopping along the main street, a romantic meal with a partner, an afternoon in the park, or a show at the theater, you’re sure to find it in Media!

Our favorite restaurants in Media include the farm-to-table BYOB Lotus, Azie Asian Fusion, and Iron Hill Brewery.

The Media Arts Council works hard to ensure that the arts remain flourishing in the borough! Media offers an exciting calendar of artistic events year-round, including the Media Film Festival, Bastille Day, a juried photography exhibit. The Media Theatre also offers award-winning live shows throughout the year.
