Collegeville Borough

Nestled along the Perkiomen Creek in central Western Montgomery County, Collegeville is a great place to live, work and play! The tiny borough is growing rapidly, and has thrived from the addition of many businesses, including the major pharmaceutical campuses of Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline. The borough spans 1.6 square miles and is home to approximately 5100 people.

Collegeville was originally known as the village of Perkiomen Bridge, and also as Freeland. When Ursinus College was founded in 1869, the borough adopted the name of Collegeville.

Nestled in the heart of the borough is Ursinus College. Ursinus is a highly-ranked private liberal-arts college that is notable for its strong pre-medical program. The small school frequently offers events to the public, including award-winning theater productions, and sports games.

Just seconds outside of the borough, you’ll find the Providence Town Center with dozens of boutiques, fine restaurants, a movie theater, LA Fitness, Wegman’s, and more. We especially love Firebirds Wood Fired Grille and all of the specialty stores!

For delicious Italian food in a pub atmosphere, be sure to check out DaVinci’s! Located in the middle of the borough, DaVinci’s offers plenty of specials, friendly service, and an excellent menu that the whole family will enjoy.

Collegeville’s location along the Perkiomen Creek allows for a wealth of opportunities when it comes to outdoor activities! The borough’s community park and Central Perkiomen Park are both located nearby, and we love to utilize the trail for walking and jogging.

Homes for sale in Collegeville Borough tend to be priced right around the Montgomery County average, although there is considerable variability. The majority of homes for sale in Collegeville are single-family homes, and the average price ranges from $250,000 to $400,000. Popular home styles include Cape Cods, Colonials, and ranch homes. Additionally, new construction of single-family homes is coming to Collegeville Borough!

The borough is served by the award-winning Perkiomen Valley School District. The district’s high school was recently ranked #17 in the state of Pennsylvania (out of over 500 schools!).
