Does it get more convenient than Bridgeport Borough? We don’t think so! This up-and-coming town in the heart of Montgomery County is adjacent to King of Prussia, and near many major roadways. Bridgeport derives its name from the bridge that historically connected it to Valley Forge. Nestled along the Schuylkill River, the small town was a convenient rest stop and trading point for travelers.

John F. Kennedy stopped by Bridgeport in 1960, on his campaign trail and tour through Montgomery County! The borough’s website offers footage of the memorable event.

The borough is served by the Upper Merion School District, which is notable for its state-of-the-art technology program, and impressive scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors. There is also an abundance of nearby private school options.

You’ll never be bored in Bridgeport! The borough is located close to everything, and less than five minutes to the King of Prussia mall.

The borough is home to a few new restaurants, including Taphouse 23. This trendy spot offers a variety of craft beers, great food and really, really cool décor!

Recreational enthusiasts will love the great parks in Bridgeport, including Bridgeport Memorial Park, Veterans Memorial Park, and Chiccino Athletic Field. The open spaces offer trails, picnic tables, fields for softball, soccer and football, and beautiful views of the Schuylkill River Valley.

Homes in Bridgeport Borough tend to be priced a bit below the Montgomery County average. The majority of homes for sale are townhomes and twinhomes in the $150,000 to $300,000 range, and it’s also not uncommon to find modestly single-family homes available. The town offers a blend of move-in ready homes, and more affordable homes that may need a bit of TLC. It’s also possible to find a real “diamond in the rough” fixer-upper for under $75,000!

As Bridgeport continues to revitalize, new construction becomes more prevalent. Luxury condos and apartments will soon be arriving in the borough, and it’s a popular destination for investors.
