When you hire a real estate broker to sell your home, you are agreeing to pay two commissions: an agency commission to the listing broker and a finder’s fee to the buyer’s broker. In ages past, before digital photography, before the internet, before the personal computer, before the fax machine, that usually amounted to 3% to the listing broker and 3% to the buying broker, a total of 6%.
Much has changed since those days. Technology has improved our ability to research, evaluate, advertise, and transact real estate. Here at EveryHome we pass the resulting savings on to our clients. As a listing broker we charge only 1.5% for our Full Service Plus™ program and offer a 2.5% finder’s fee to Buyer’s Agents. This results in a total fee of just 4%. |
