EveryHome Realtors is excited to announce their twentieth anniversary in June 2019!  The boutique real estate agency, now headquartered in Lansdale, began in a tiny Harleysville garage as a vision shared by co-founders Paul Heck and Katie Kennedy.  As veterans of the real estate industry, Paul and Katie saw an opportunity to simplify and ultimately revolutionize the home buying process by empowering home shoppers across the region.

Katie recalls, “I was a single mom looking for a place to raise my two kids.  I wanted a home in a safe area and within a good school district, but I had a really limited budget.  At the time, the only way to see homes was to have real estate agents find you properties, and they didn’t always understand what it was that you wanted.  I thought about how I wanted to be able to see every home, not just the houses that the Realtor wanted me to see.” And so in 1999, EveryHome.com was born and became the first website of its kind to pull listings directly from the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  This provided homebuyers with the ability to easily browse every real estate listing in the Greater Philadelphia area on their own terms.

EveryHome’s early days in Harleysville began with just two desks in Katie’s garage.  The broker of EveryHome Realtors and Katie’s partner, Paul Heck, had an extensive background in computer science and coding, and he spent long days developing software to ensure that every home for sale was accessible to local web browsers.  “After the website became public, I can vividly remember the first email we got and how exciting it was,” Katie recalls.  “And then the next day, we got eight emails.”  Word quickly spread about the local real estate start-up, and by 2006, Katie and her office assistant were closing approximately 15 homes per month.  “That was when I realized it was time to bring other agents on board,” she explains.  EveryHome Realtors rapidly expanded during the next decade, and now is proudly home to well over 100 agents across offices in Lansdale, Newtown (Bucks County), and South Philadelphia.  While EveryHome continues to grow, Katie has always kept one thing the same: answering the phones herself!  When you call the office today, you’ll always hear Katie’s friendly and familiar voice on the other end.  And that personalized and individual attention is the EveryHome difference!
