If you’re reading this, you might be thinking about becoming a real estate agent — or perhaps you’ve already registered to begin courses at a local real estate education provider. If so, congratulations! Real estate can be an extremely rewarding and exciting career, and your education is an important first step. Here’s what to expect in real estate school.

Real Estate School

In Pennsylvania, becoming a licensed salesperson (“real estate agent” or “Realtor”) involves studying both Real Estate Practice and Real Estate Fundamentals. Each course is 30 hours. While every school operates a bit differently, most instructors require students to take a couple of tests during class.  These two courses will prepare you to take the national and state licensing exam, which you will schedule afterwards.

Many real estate education providers offer classroom and online courses. While choosing an exclusively online course may allow for greater flexibility, many students enjoy the camaraderie and personalized nature of the classroom.Real Estate School

A few local providers in our area include community colleges, Polley, and Schlicher-Kratz. Course prices and schedules vary a bit, so we recommend closely comparing the various options to ensure that the school is the best fit for you.

If you’re thinking about a career as a real estate agent, we invite you to meet with us at any time (yes, even before you register for class!). We are excited about what we can offer prospective agents at EveryHome, and we’d love to get to know you, too! Just give us a call at (215) 699-5555.
