| Can you believe its mid-November already? With winter just around the corner, it’s a great time of year to begin getting your home maintenance checklist ready. Here’s what’s on our home maintenance checklist for the season:

| 1. Gutters! Hose out your gutters so that rain can properly drain. Clogged gutters = potential ice dams and leakages. |
| 2. Schedule an appointment to clean and tune your furnace to ensure that your home will be nice and cozy before the coldest temperatures arrive. |
| 3. Reverse your ceiling fan. By reversing their direction, the fans will push warm air downward and force it to recirculate. (You can tell it’s ready for winter if the blades are turning clockwise as you look up). |
| 4. Wrap the pipes! Check the unheated areas of your home and keep those pipes snug in foam rubber sleeves available at Lowe’s. |
