Conveniently located in the heart of Montgomery County, Skippack Township is a friendly municipality with moderately-priced housing and an easy commute to King of Prussia, Conshohocken, Collegeville, and Blue Bell. The township is centered on Rt 73 (Skippack Pike) and located wholly within the Perkiomen Valley School District.

Did you know that General George Washington and his army of 11,000 soldiers encamped in Skippack twice? It’s true! Skippack Township enjoys its historic reputation and multiple buildings and locations within the township were named to the National Register of Historic Places, including Kuster Mill (located in Evansburg State Park).

Skippack Township is nestled alongside of the Perkiomen Creek, which spans Berks, Lehigh and Montgomery counties. The popular Perkiomen Trail is located along the creek and offers a 19-mile path for walkers, runners, and bikers.
What To Do In Skippack Township
It’s hard to mention Skippack Township without first mentioning the quaint, popular “Skippack Village.” The award-winning historic shopping attraction offers some of the area’s finest eateries, charming boutiques, and a busy year-round event schedule! Be sure to mark your calendars for the Summertyme Festival, Skippack Days, and Winetober Fest. The town also features a live theater (Playcrafters), trendy salons, a winery, and plenty of fitness studios.

Love the outdoors? You’re in luck! Skippack Township is home to Evansburg State Park, which features 26 miles of trails for hikers, joggers, and bikers. Plus, the 3,349 acre park offers opportunities for fishers and hunters. Skippack Golf Club is also located within the park.

Most single-family homes are priced between $300,000 and $500,000 and there is a blend between older and newer homes. Newer homes and brand new construction is also popular within the township, and these homes are typically located within quiet subdivisions and on smaller lots under a quarter of an acre.
