Nestled along the affluent Main Line suburbs in Montgomery County, Narberth is a quaint, charming borough with beautiful homes and convenience to the city. The friendly town is just 0.5 square miles, and is served by the prestigious Lower Merion School District.
Narberth Borough Quick Facts
Narberth Borough was originally located on a tract of land owned by Edward Rees in the late 1600s and referred to as “Elm”. The name later changed to Narberth and became officially incorporated in 1895.

Narberth is governed by a mayor and a seven-member borough council. The borough also works cooperatively with Lower Merion township to ensure that residents have easy access to all resources.

The borough is served entirely by Lower Merion School District, and local elementary school-aged children attend either Merion Elementary or Belmont Hills Elementary. Additionally, Narberth is located near an abundance of private schools, including Friends Central, Agnes Irwin, and The Shipley School.
What To Do In Narberth Borough
Don’t be fooled by Narberth’s diminutive size! The borough offers a variety of great restaurants (Ryan Christopher’s, Coco Thai Bistro), shopping, and even a library and school all downtown! The borough is also just a couple of minutes from Ardmore and Wayne, and nearby King of Prussia Mall!

If you love walkability, you’ll love living in Narberth. Most of the homes are located in walking distance to the downtown area, and you’ll love the quaint borough for running, walking and biking.

There is a strong sense of community in Narberth, so it’s no surprise that they offer a ton of local events for residents! In the summertime, the borough hosts a variety of summer recreation programs for kids, including arts and crafts and weekly concerts!
