Horsham Township Quick Facts
Horsham’s rich history dates back to 1684, when the municipality became available to individual purchasers for the sale of land. Samuel Carpenter, who served as Treasurer of Pennsylvania at the time, purchased 5,000 acres and sold land to migrating Quakers. Carpenter hailed from the town of Horsham in Sussex, England, after which the town was named.

The township hosts a growing number of business parks and communities. Toll Brothers, Penn Life Mutual Insurance, Kraft Foods, UPS and Bimbo Bakeries are just a few of the major employers in Horsham.

Horsham Township is served by Hatboro-Horsham School District.

The township includes all or parts of the mailing addresses of Horsham, Ambler, North Wales and Chalfont.
What To Do In Horsham Township
There is no shortage of outdoor recreation opportunities in Horsham! The township is home to the Hideaway Swim Club and Park, Lukens Park, and Pennypack Farm and Education Center. Plus, be sure to stop by Horsham Family Golf! The popular spot is located on over 16 acres and features over 50 stalls in their practice facility, as well as a mini golf course.

Horsham also features a movie theater, and delicious restaurants including MaGerk’s Pub and Grill, and Café Lombardi’s.
