Not only is Bridgeport great for commuters, but it’s also relatively affordable, located in Upper Merion School District, and offers walkability to restaurants and bars.
Bridgeport Borough Quick Facts
Bridgeport derives its name from the bridge that historically connected it to Valley Forge. Nestled along the Schuylkill River, the small town was a convenient rest stop and trading point for travelers.

The borough is served by the Upper Merion School District, which is notable for its state-of-the-art technology program, and impressive scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors. There is also an abundance of nearby private school options.

Real Estate in Bridgeport Borough
Homes in Bridgeport Borough tend to be priced a bit below the Montgomery County average. The majority of homes for sale are townhomes and twinhomes in the $150,000 to $300,000 range, and it’s also not uncommon to find modestly single-family homes available. The town offers a blend of move-in ready homes, and more affordable homes that may need a bit of TLC. It’s also possible to find a real “diamond in the rough” fixer-upper for under $75,000!

As Bridgeport continues to revitalize, new construction becomes more prevalent. Luxury condos and apartments will soon be arriving in the borough, and it’s a popular destination for investors.
